Overjoyed at Overwater for the RNLI

Singing students and Cheshire choir MicWire singing together at Cafe at Bridge 80

Our Young Vocal Students performed brilliantly to another sell out crowd at Overwater Marina in Cheshire on 11th May 2024 raising another £349.74 for the RNLI on their bi-centenary year. Our youngest singers were 8 years old and some of our performers were performing for the very first time in front of an audience and absolutely smashed it.

The weather was gorgeous so we were able to take our performance outdoors and sing stood right next to the Shropshire Union Canal. As we sang, our audience ordered tea and cake from the Cafe at Bridge 80 to picnic in the sunshine.

A huge thank you to all the soloists who practiced their songs so well, to all the Mums and Dads for supporting the practice at home and for driving out to join us on a Saturday afternoon and to the rest of our friends who joined us in the audience. Another thank you to MicWire who not only performed at Overwater Marina singing a selection of sea shanties and songs of gratitude, but who also sang in the community earlier in the day for the residents at a local care home in Nantwich.

Finally, a huge thanks again to Martino and his team at the cafe, and to everyone at Overwater for letting us utilise your beautiful space.

Feedback from our fabulous audience was magical including:

“Those children are absolutely unbelievable!”

“We are so proud of [our daughter], but more importantly she is even more proud and happy with herself. Singing means even more to her now and that’s thanks to you…”

“They knocked our socks off!”

“It was my favourite concert so far…”

“The sea shanties were so much fun, I couldn’t help but sing along”

“As for your young students WOW!”

“Can you come and perform at our next celebration in July?!”

Thanks to absolutely everyone involved - I’m really proud of what we all achieved together.
